Summer Ideas

Here's some close-up photos of the ideas we have on display in the summer idea section of the store.

Kim made these family blocks as a home decor item showcasing everyday photos. Using pattern paper, stamps, metal frames and decorative knobs, she decorated the blocks with colors of summer. To add a little dimension to the blocks, she put diamond glaze on top of the stamped images. This is one of those items you've got to see in person to appreciate! Look for these blocks next time you are in the store.

The colors in these layouts are gorgeous and would be a great way to show off your photos. The hibiscus flowers really enhance these layouts.

More Summer Sale Items Arriving...

Our Summer Stimulus Sale is still going on. Paper and embellishments are selling quickly so we have had to keep adding more and more new items to the sale. Be sure to check each time you come in the store for bargains. Paper is available for a little as 25 cents per sheet.  Double-sided and heavyweight papers that reguarly sell for 99 cents per sheet are on sale for 50 cents per sheet.

We have "through the years" stickers that show what prices were for houses and milk and bread in years 1900 - 2008. It tells what movies and songs were at the top of the charts that year, who was president and other interesting facts. Those normally sell for $1.99 and are now on sale for $1.20. If you are working on a heritage album these are great! Another way to use them is on an "all about me" page for the year you were born. Or document what was going on in the world when your children were born.

We have adhesive at a great savings, too. The Hermafix rolling dot adhesive is regularly $11.99 but we are selling it at $5.50 this summer. The adhesive is still being manufactured, but the packaging has changed so we are clearing out these to make room for the new style of dispenser.

Take advantage of these great bargains this summer and scrapbook with these items!

4th of July Ideas for You

DSC03251

Can you believe that it's almost time for the 4th of July??? Next weekend we celebrate Independence Day with get-togethers, BBQ's and fireworks. Remember to capture those memories and record them in your family's scrapbook.

We have some great layout ideas for you to scraplift on display in the front of our store. The photo above shows one table of ideas.

This layout called "All American Girl" would be a great page to show the special relationship a little girl has with her dad.  Like the Carrie Underwood song says, "Now she's got him wrapped around her finger, she's the center of his whole world..."

DSC03241 DSC03243

This 4th of July page is layered with goodies to make it an outstanding layout. There are punched stars and photo corners, rhinestones, buttons, ribbon, ric-rac, tabs and 4 different papers used to make this page. The second photo shows some of the detail.

DSC03247 DSC03248

The 3rd layout shown is another layout with layered interest. The title comes from a strip on the back side of the paper used in the background of the layout. Navy blue stars were die cut and popped up on the layout. A white button with two polka dot ribbons  tied to the button were added to the stars for a little something extra.

The layouts and the product used to make these layouts are all together for your shopping convenience. With the 4th just around the corner, shop today for the best selection.

A Masculine Idea...

We really do want to scrapbook for our fellas but let's face it, there's a lot more "feminine" choices in paper, embellishments and stickers than there are for the guys. When we come across some great "manly" paper, we grab it.

Such was the case with this paper shown below. Now I know fishing is not just for men but I think this layout may be more geared to a trip with your guy. This page has a lot of layers to it and all the papers tend to be more masculine than most.

So, if you are looking for ideas for your guy, don't wait long. These are gonna "fly" out the door!
