Classes This Week

Dsc01604

Here's a sneak peak at Robyn's card class this Tuesday, May 20th, from 10am to noon.  You get a variety of cards that you will really use!  There are still some spots available to call soon to reserve your spot.Sdu_logomheadthumb

Calling all SDU graduates!  Continue your "education" this week in the Masters classes.  Melissa is offering the "Antique Chic" class on Tuesday night from 7 - 9pm.  It's a great basic class on how to give your pages an antiqued look through inking, tearing, crumpling and other distressing techniques.  Just like the other SDU classes, you will be given pages to add to your binder to act as a reference.

Gonna Love 'Em - Kits2go

We have some great kits2go available for you this week.  You would think we would run out of inspiration but our designers keep finding new ways to create a new kit2go for you.  Take a look at some that are available now.

Dsc01461 For those of you who have been keeping up-to-date on your calendar pages, here's a kit for May.  You are going to feel so smart at the end of the year when you have at least a page per month DONE!!!  This page is appropriate for spring flowers photos as well as Mother's Day.  Get these while you can.

   *************************************

Dsc01525 Do you know someone who is graduating this year?  This page would make a great gift for them to add their photos to and then frame.  The colors are classic black, gray and white to go with whatever color cap and gown your graduate is wearing.

   ************************************

The bright colors in this last layout make it perfect for summer pictures.  Just tuck your photos under the curve of the paper and highlight a summer day of fun in your household.Dsc01547

New Products!!!

There's been so much going on lately that I haven't had a chance to update you on new products that we have gotten in the store.

We have a whole wall of 3-D stickers from Reminisce for every state in the union and lots of well-traveled countries outside of the US.  This photo doesn't do them justice but you will get an idea of what I am talking about.  You really have to see them in person to appreciate them, though.

These photos show some of the elements on the states and the countries.  If you have travel plans this summer, stop in now to make sure and pick up a sticker for your destination.

A line of paper that we received has designs in black and white and the band at the bottom of the paper suggests "Color Me".  However, even in black and white, these designs are adorable.  Take a look at a few of them.

I've got more photos of new stuff to share with you.  Come back often!!!Dsc01562 Dsc01564

Happenings of the Week

It's time to take a look at what's going on in the store this week.

Kim gets the week started with her "Baby Love" class on Tuesday morning from 10 - 11:30.  Take a look at the project you will be working on for this class.

Dsc01478 Spell your baby's name using chipboard components covered in the cutest baby paper.  Then add other decorative elements such as buttons, the little lion and stars.  Choose boy or girl.

Dsc01476_2 On Thursday night, Dana is back with a new twist on her "Hippy Chip" books.  This on is done in fabric but don't worry, you don't have to be a wizard with a sewing machine to make this book!  Take a look at the project and then call the store to sign up!  You don't want to miss out on this innovative approach to scrapbooking your photos.

Basic Grey chipboard stickers are fun!

Have you had a chance to use some of the new chipboard stickers by Basic Grey?  Each pack contains lots of shapes ranging from pink elephants and flamingos to flowers and words in the "Sugared" line.  In the "Archaic" line, you will find dinosaurs, airplanes, wagons, jacks, and palm trees.

Stephanie used chipboard stickers from the "Sugared" line to make this page layout of her daughter.  Don't you just love it???

Things to do today

Let me help you with your to-do list so you won't miss out on anything that's going on in the store.

To Do:

1.  Sign up for the "Summer" chipboard word book today!  (See blog from May 2nd for details.)  Remember, if you sign up before the end of the day today, the paper for the book will be pre-cut making assembly of the book just that much easier!

2.  Do something for the kids (and yourself)!  Sign them up for "summer school" at the Scrapbook Barn.  You have 24 choices with classes designed for both boys and girls.  Plan ahead now for some summer fun!

3.  While you are in the store signing up for classes, browse through our Kits2go.  We have lots of new kits coming out this week, so don't miss out.  Let me give you a sneak peak.
