Travel/Beach Make 'N Take

We just love this "Tidepool" paper by Creative Imaginations so we decided to use it on one of the make 'n takes. We hope you will have photos from trips to the beach that will work perfectly with this paper. Christine will be helping you create this card. It has popped-up elements and a pocket to hold photos and/or journaling.

Summer Stimulus Sale

Are you tired of that word (stimulus) yet??? We kinda are but we still thought that might be the best way to advertise what we've got going on at the store beginning May 1st.

Manufacturers of scrapbooking items are feeling the pinch as well as the stores that sell their products. In an effort to help store help their customers continue to record events in their lives, several of the vendors have offered to lower prices on selected items in their inventory. It's not the "ugly" stuff. It's good stuff - items that were introduced before January, 2009. While we have a tendency to just shop for the "new" stuff, there are still older products that we keep on hand because of their popularity.

As a result of this, we have assembled all the special priced items on the wall at the back of the corral and have marked each section with the sale price. Individual items will be priced but the papers will be grouped by price. Paper prices will be as low as 25 cents per sheet. We ordered what seemed like a large amount of paper for this sale, but when it is gone, that will be the end of the sale. The sale price has been set to go through August 31st but of course, the best selection will be at the beginning of the sale.

 

We decided to kick-off this sale on May 1st as our way of promoting National Scrapbook Day on May 2nd. What better time to stock up and save on scrapbooking supplies. See you soon!

Pocket Page Make 'n Take

First of all, this make 'n take uses the new paper from Scrap Within Reach called "Afternoon Tea". That alone makes this page adorable but there are other surprises on this Photo Carousel card. The card is actually a pocket that you can hold photos. Also each participant will get a die cut letter of their choice that is part of the page. The die cut is glittered using an adhesive sheet to grab the glitter. The letter is then wrapped in tulle and topped with a tiny blossom.

 

The special sale item is the little blossoms. They come in a package of 12.

Wednesday's Shop Hop Make 'N Take

This Photo Carousel card uses chipboard to pop up elements and photos. Let Robyn show you how to give your photos a distressed look using this technique. The title of this card is "You're My Type" and it features more of the Graphic 45 paper line. Don't miss this one!

 

The featured special item will be 12 x 12 sheets of chipboard so that you can use this technique at home!

National Scrapbook Day Crop
