These mini albums give you the best of both worlds. You get to try your hand at working with acrylic pages to see how fun it is to work on and there is a matching chipboard page to decorate. They come in various styles so check out the display at the store.

Quickly make a great shower gift for an expectant mother using these stickers from SRM. We took a group of pattern papers, a 9 x 9 chipboard album cover and one sheet of these stickers and made this book. It has a page for each month of baby's first year with additional stickers for other "firsts" that occur.

Stop by the store and see this album on display. There are matching stickers in boy colors, too.
If you took part in the Beat the Heat Shop Hop, you may have had a chance to work with the new paper by Heidi Swapp called Invisibles. It is a textured paper that has raised areas that "resist" inks, chalks, and spray on colors such as the Glimmer Mist while the untreated paper absorbs the color. The result is striking and shows the design of the textured areas.
Melissa did this layout for us using the new paper to show how interesting the results are. The background paper with the circle flourish is the special Invisibles paper and she inked it in grays and pinks.
As is the case with most of the ideas we post on this blog, they are much better to see in person. Look for this display along with the other Invisibles paper and alphabets. It is an easy way to get incredible looks.
