Thank You...

to everyone who took part in our birthday celebration this past weekend. We hope you learned new techniques in our classes and completed some awesome projects. We hope you gathered gift ideas from the classes as well as our make 'n takes. Thanks for celebrating our 10 years in business with us.

Now let's keep the party going as we plan classes for the month of November. Some of the birthday bash classes will be repeated so that you have another chance to get in on the fun!

Have you seen the Demos and Make 'n Takes?

I wanted to preview some of the products that we will be showing during the make 'n takes and demos. Some of the products we have in the store ready to purchase and others will have to be pre-ordered as they are brand new.

The Texture Boutique by Sizzix - shown at 11:00am Saturday , Oct 24th

 

It looks like a purse but this little machine will emboss cardstock like a dream! If you are a card maker that wants a little something extra on your cards, don't miss this make 'n take. Take time to do this make 'n take from Creative Imaginations. Using the ingredients shown above, you can copy the sample or arrange things as you want. Participation is free but supplies are limited.

Unique Pages ornament - shown at 1:00pm Saturday, Oct 24th

This ornament will compliment the ornaments you made in Jennifer's class on Friday. Using different techniques, Wanda will show you how to make an ornate ornament for your tree. This is another free make 'n take with limited quantities available.

Amate Pendant Charms - shown Friday from 4 to 6pm & Saturday from 2 to 6pm

If you are not familiar with this item, stop by and take a look at all the cute shapes and ideas on how to fill these pendant charms. We will be doing a specific charm (not shown) to show you the technique. The cost of this make 'n take is $7.00. Afterward, you will be able to buy product and charms to make at home and use as inexpensive gift ideas for daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, cousins, teachers,...well, you get the idea. We fell in love with this item and think you will, too. Don't miss out on this one! This make 'n take will take about 30 minutes to complete so budget your time accordingly. (ATTN: Saturday Night Croppers - this make 'n take will still be going on when you arrive for the crop. Be sure to stop by and take part in this one.)

Pictures As Promised - Updated with more photos!!!

Here are photos of the classes we will be teaching at the store during the weekend of our 10th Birthday Bash. The schedule and prices were posted yesterday. Take a look at what I have photos of so far and begin planning your schedule. Some of the products we are using are so NEW that the items haven't even been shipped yet. Others arrived just last week. Bear with us and we will get samples out in the store and photos on this blog as soon as possible! 

Keep in mind that students in these classes will be the first who can purchase additional (limited) special products used in the class. In many of the classes, you will be making items that would be great gifts for the holidays, so consider taking the class for you and making a second (or third) item for a gift! Once the class is over, any remaining items will be available for purchase to all customers.

One of the brand new products that I mentioned is a wooden home decor item used in the very first class of our Birthday Bash. Robyn will start us off with a great class, "Our Family Tree" using this wooden heritage display shown below. Because we just received these, Robyn has not had a chance to finish her sample, but shown below is the "naked" tree and a sample done by the company to give you an idea of how it will look when it is finished.

 

Joey Otlo, a guest teacher from Bazzill, will be teaching a Christmas album class here at Scrapbook Barn. Here is a sample of the album.

 

 

Here's a sample of one of the two layouts you will be doing in Robyn's second class called "Holiday Treats". Check the display table at the front of our store for the second page sample.

 

Crystal will be joining in the fun teaching this 6x6 album in the "Baby Love" album class. See the display in the store to view all the decorated pages of this album.

 

This home decor item comes with a wooden hanger to display it on as shown on the Birthday Bash display table in the store. This class will be taught by Melissa and is the "(Wooden Hanger) Home Display".

 

This adorable collage frame is embellished with Pink Paislee, Dream Street, and Graphic 45 papers. The metal embellishments are from Tim Holtz and 7 Gypsies. The flowers are made from the Tim Holtz grunge papers. Join Caroline in this wonderful 8 x 10 canvas collage frame class.

This thick wooden plaque can either be hung on the wall or displayed in a plate stand as shown. Jennifer, one of the owners, will be teaching this class named "Family Plaque".

 

In this Christmas "Tree Ornament" class, you will make 3 ornaments and decorate the front with a photo and the back with a word or embellishments. Here is an example of the back and front of one of the ornaments. Jennifer is also teaching this class.

Dana is excited to show you how easy it is to make this cute 4x4 Maya Road acrylic and chipboard calendar.  She created this calendar with an array of papers from different manufacturers that look fabulous with each other and the Maya Road sheer calendar pieces.  This class makes a teriffic gift!

 

 

Make this hot new product just released by 7 Gypsies!  Dana will show you how to embellish the printers tray with many cool trinkets.  It has a handle on the top so you can hang it on the wall.  This is the hottest new product in the scrapbooking world, so sign up today!

 

Another brand new product that we are still waiting on to arrive is the advent calendar. It will be used in Robyn's "Countdown to Christmas" class. Robyn has designed a board showing a photo of the advent calendar and the paper she will use to decorate it. Also shown below is a close-up of the advent calendar. (Dimensions approximately 12.5" x 12.5")

Melissa is affectionately referred to as our "Banner Lady" so her second class is the "Joy Mini Banner". I think you will like this mini home decor idea!
