New Class Schedule for January

The January class schedule is now available by clicking here or clicking on the "Classe Calendar" link on the sidebar.

We have a new teacher, Wendy Landis, who will be offering kids classes for children ages 4 and up. Her first class called "Drop and Shop" is for mom's with preschoolers who would like some time to shop in our store while Wendy leads them in a creative activity. Sign up now to try this class on Wednesday, January 6th from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Dana is offering her Hippy Chip "Grateful" book during the first 2 weeks of January. Check out the photos of the completed book and a few inside pages.

 

 

 

Melissa is offering a "Be Mine" banner for the upcoming Valentine season. She has selected 3 different dates for this class so that you have an opportunity in early January to complete this project in time to display it in your home before Valentine's Day.

In addition to her "Grateful" book, Dana will be offering another class at the end of the month that will concentrate on book binding techniques. Look for that class called "Stitched and Bound" the last week of the month.

Our Saturday Night Crops for the month of January will be held on the 16th and 30th. That should give you time to get your photos printed and your supplies gathered so that you can accomplish a lot during our crops. Come get inspired and have a great time!   

Crafty Kids

If you were in our store yesterday morning, you saw a group of 8 to12 years olds being creative and having a great time! They were enjoying a class designed especially for kids by our new employee, Wendy. Each child made a holiday table decoration by cutting tree shapes, decorating them with a smörgåsbord of embellishments and mounting them on a stand so that the trees could become the centerpiece at parties and meals throughout the holidays! Of course, while they were working so hard to complete their projects, they had a table full of treats to munch on!

Coming Soon...

We have some great classes coming up after Thanksgiving that you won't want to miss.

First off, on Monday, November 30th from 10am to 1pm, you get another chance to make the canvas collage frame -  a class taught by Caroline during our Birthday Bash.  Seats are limited so call today!

 

Next, on Tuesday, December 1st from 11am to1pm, Jennifer is teaching her ornament class. In class Jennifer will show you how to use Maya Mist and glitter to complete your project. Don't miss this chance to make a unique gift for the holidays.

 

A new class being offered on Tuesday, December 1st, from 2 to 4pm, and Thursday, December 3rd from 11am to1pm,is the Christmas Card Class. You will make the following cards using stamps from Imaginesce. The stamps are part of the supplies you receive in the class so you will be able to make multiples of any of the cards on your own!

 
 
 

Also on Tuesday, December 1st, from 5 to 7pm, Jennifer is teaching her Family Plaque class. This class comes with all the paper and embellishments as shown. This is another great gift idea!!!

 

Dana will be offering a Christmas version of her Printer's Tray class on Wednesday, December 2nd, from 5 to 8pm. Here is a sneak peek at this latest version.

 

Caroline has her Christmas Memories Canvas Album class scheduled for Saturday, December 5th, and Monday, December 7th, both from 10:30am to 2:30pm. If you have never tried one of these albums, this should be the one you do. It will be a keepsake for years to come! See the photos below...

Saturday Night Special Crop

This Saturday night we are hosting another special crop for all you scrapbookers out there. If you have friends and family from out-of-town that have your passion for this craft, bring them along as we have lots of ideas for you to "scrap-lift".

Spend Saturday Evening with us...

We are holding crops on Saturday Night for the next two weekends. If you have some projects you need to complete (or start) then there is no better way to make headway on those projects than to spend the night surrounded by inspiration and the product to complete your projects. Paper and embellishments are being restocked daily and we are still receiving new Christmas papers.

This Saturday, November 21st, is a regular crop from 5:30 to 11:30. Come in to work or chat with your friends for a Saturday night out with the girls. Either way, we've got the space.

On Saturday, November 28th, we have a special crop planned for you and your out-of-town guests. Like our Birthday Bash Crop, this Thanksgiving Crop will feature special gifts and giveaways for those in attendance. The first to sign up will be the first to select which gift (of the two choices) they want. If you missed the Birthday Bash Crop, be sure to sign up for this one and get in on all the fun!

Projects for Gift Giving

Some of the great products we used in classes during the Birthday Bash are available now for purchase. Take a look at these projects with your holiday gift list in mind...

We have a few of these Maya Road mini calendars available for an adorable desk calendar. It's compact but still big enough for a photo and calendar on each page.

 

The wooden plaque used in this project is available for individual purchase or purchase both the plaque and the kit containing the paper and embellishments to complete the project as shown.

 

This adorable baby book is available as a kit including all the product to complete the album as shown in the example.

 

These chipboard ornaments are an inexpensive gift idea for family and friends. Use them as ornaments or a special tag on a gift. These can be purchased individually or take the class with Jennifer on Saturday, November 21st from 2-4pm. Each ornament is decorated on the front with a place for a photo on the back.

 

 

 

Another class that is being taught a second time is the Advent Calendar class. Again, you can purchase the advent calendar separately or take the class on Tuesday, November 17th from 11am to 2pm OR 5pm to 8pm. The advantage of the class is all the little pieces to use on the boxes will be provided for you giving you lots of choices on how to finish your box.
