What crafting ideas do you have for today?

Queen of the Camelot Crop...

The voting was close but by 6pm on Saturday night at the Camelot Crop, a new Queen and her court had been selected.

Our two princesses were Tanya Luchsinger and Lexie Valente. They are pictured below with their crowns.

Tanya's crown was a beautiful creation of shells and sealife with yarn woven around the back head piece of the crown.

Lexie's crown was a creation depicting her passion right now - Harry Potter! She even wore a shirt to match her crown!

The Queen of Camelot Crop for 2011 was Linda Vargo and her "Kitchen Goddess" crown.

Congratulations to our Queen and princesses. There were many outstanding creations and they should feel honored being selected by their peers!

We will posting more of the crowns throughout the week so everyone can enjoy the creativity.

Wonderful Wood Projects from Kaiser Craft

I am a big fan of the wood projects that are made by Kaiser Craft. The staff here at the store has been busy making samples with some of their favorite piece. Unfortunately, while they were working on two of the projects, the wood pieces sold out. We have ordered more of these but I won't show you those projects until we have the pieces back in stock. 

The projects I am going to show you today are in stock at this time so that hopefully you won't be disappointed when you come in to look for them.

The first item is a recipe box. This cute item that Joanie made seems like a great project for Mother's Day. It is not too early to get a jump on projects for that special day. The paper used to cover the box is by also by Kaiser Craft.

 

 

 

 

The second project is a house book that we have had before, but this time Charly and Melissa made it up as a dog book. Look how cute it turned out!!!

 

 

 

 

You will find both of these projects and more featured on our front display tables at the front of the store. Be sure to look for them next time you visit our store!

More Great Ideas from Our Design Team

Today I am showing you the latest creations from Lisa. Since joining our design team, Lisa has made some wonderful displays for our store. Here's her most recent ideas...

Lisa worked with paper from My Little Shoebox. Here's a great way to display recent photos in your home - a 3-part arch photo display. It would look great on a table or shelf.

Lisa also created a layout with this group of papers.

Last Day to Sign Up...

Today is the last day to sign up at the discounted price of $40 for the Camelot Crop coming Saturday, May 7th.  On Monday, the price will go up to $50. If you can't make it into the store, call 480-503-2475 and provide your credit card number to reserve your seat at our next great 12-hour crop!

For those of you who have already signed up, make sure you have received your chipboard crown so that you can enter the contest for the Best Crown. The crown doesn't have to be just glitter and jewels; it should represent your personality!

A Project for Boys

Crystal created this adorable standing boy album using the acrylic journaling stand from Maya Road and the new line of paper from Crate Paper called "Toy Box". There are so many wonderful papers and embellishments with this line and they are great for boy pages!
